Barbeque, dance competitions, emcee contests, and, of course, basketball were the highlights of the sixth annual Streetball and Block Party Aug. 12, organized by Johnny Winston Jr. Adults and children alike enjoyed activities such as face painting, and petting a llama and a snake from the Vilas Zoo.

The dance competition showcased area performers doing the latest dance moves. Bingo was played in the comfortable shade of the gazebo, and there was an inflatable obstacle course for the kids.

 

Some kids even joined in the spirit of the day, playing pickup basketball on the sidelines of the main games. Music was provided by the New Hot 105.9.
