Louise Dunlap
Louise Dunlap

Louise Dunlap does not wait for a movement to get something done. She is inspired by energy and passion. Her weekly activities include gardening, sewing, needlepoint, and cooking for the homeless. Reaching out to help rear several children in Madison, Louise believes that mediocrity should not be traded in for diligence and a positive attitude. Her creed is that you must learn to love yourself and worship in church.

Angela Donahue
Angela Donahue

Angela Donahue raised her biological daughter Jasmine Banks. She continues to hear from her foster children that they appreciated her praise of their scribbling, her listening, her responses to their attempts to express themselves, her respect for their feelings, and her encouragement of their interests. She was always ready with a hug and kiss. Angela, we thank you for putting blankets around so many foster children and giving them a loving home. In addition, Angela managed to find time to further her college education and volunteer for Women’s Transit Authority.

Angelina Crawford
Angelina Crawford

Angelina Crawford knows that a splash of education and basting in knowledge can bring out your own natural talents. This Sherman Middle School assistant principal finds pleasure in encouraging her two children and helping the youth in the Madison Metropolitan School District to not focus on disappointments, but to make a mental computation of all the things that make them happy and proud.

Peggy Howard Moore
Peggy Howard Moore

Peggy Howard Moore represents dignity, self-respect, and athleticism. She always greets you with a smile. A Triathlon Iron Man competitor who swims, runs, and bikes, Peggy does not look to others to validate her but is an active and visible role model in the community. Daughter Eboni C. Howard, a developmental psychologist, was present, too, as Peggy was recognized for being part of the solution and helping to pave a positive direction for the youth and families in our community.

Vicki Washington
Vicki Washington

Vicki Washington is a puzzle of many pieces. She has done so many things in her life that her puzzle is infinite. This high achiever with a mandate for excellence puts her faith in young people and families in the community. Vicki, the Madison community thanks you for writing letters to newspaper, signing petitions, and going to school and town meetings. All these activities help to preserve the best of the African American community.
