Barrientos Language Academy

The joy of learning another language, culture

Studying Spanish at Barrientos Language Academy isn’t only about learning how to speak and write in that language. More than that, the goal is to understand various Latino cultures and to connect and make friends with Latinos who are our neighbors and co-workers. Because Julian Barrientos (left), the founder of the Academy, is from Bolivia, students get to know Bolivian culture first — its food, music, poetry, and traditions. Students who completed Spanish I and II last spring are pictured in the photo below. Julian and his children, Rolando (playing the guitar) and Rosemarie (dancing with husband, Enzo), provided entertainment.
