The State Capitol witnesses U.S. Bank’s fireworks display.

U.S. Bank's family-oriented New Year's Eve party will be held Wednesday, Dec. 31, 6-10 p.m. at six downtown Madison locations.

With performances by Rick Wilcox, Ken Lonnquist, T.R. Loon, Od Tap Ami, and Goongoo Peas, the party promises music, magic, and big, bouncy things for kids to burn off their energy. Make-your-own party hats, New Year's Eve masks, and space-alien cookies add up to loads of hands-on fun for the entire family.

Londa Dewey, president of U.S. Bank in Madison, said the bank is committed to continuing this alcohol-free event. "It showcases the best of Madison and is an affordable way to ring in the New Year with friends and family,” she said. “It's a perfect setting for an evening of fun that includes a wagon ride around the Capitol Square, an early 9:30 p.m. countdown with a balloon drop led by University of Wisconsin mascot Bucky Badger, and a fireworks finale from the U.S. Bank Plaza rooftop at 10:05 p.m."

U.S. Bank Eve festivities will be happening at the U.S. Bank Plaza, Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, Olbrich Gardens, the Madison Children's Museum, the Wisconsin Historical Museum, and UW Space Place. Tickets can be purchased in advance from any U.S. Bank location. Prices in advance are $5 for adults and $2 for children 5 to 15. A family pass is $10 and includes two adult tickets and tickets for all the children in the family. At the door, prices will be $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 15, and $12 for a family pass. The event is free to children under 5.

U.S. Bancorp, with assets of $189 billion, is the eighth largest financial services holding company in the United States. The company operates 2,201 banking offices and 4,506 ATMs, and provides a comprehensive line of banking, brokerage, insurance, investment, mortgage, trust, and payment services products to consumers, businesses, and institutions.
