Its Purpose
The Madison Times focuses on positive and success stories in the African
American, Latino, Southeast Asian, and American Indian communities, as
well as other multicultural communities and disadvantaged sectors. It
delivers fresh reports and analyses/commentaries on issues important to
the lives of these communities, such as civil and human rights, education,
economic and development opportunities, housing, employment opportunities,
indigenous rights, environmental concerns, health care, and others. The
paper also stresses positive social and personal values, family and
community unity, and most importantly, encourages minority youth to aim
high and make a difference in their lives and the lives of others.
